In Training for Trailing

SARDOC2019 - 1 of 3 (3)Boojum is a 3-year-old male Polish Hound in-training for the Wilderness-Trailing discipline. His name is a Lewis Carroll word from the poem The Hunting of the Snark that means “strange creature.” He came to the United States from Poland, and did some training with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the swamps of North Carolina before relocating out to Pueblo, Colorado to work toward certification in Wilderness Trailing.
He has a goofy and lovable personality, pearly white teeth, and very pretty “eyeliner.” He is a quiet trailer who gives great body language cues and downs in indication of his subject. He goes nuts for high-value treats and loves to give his “lost person” upside down snuggles. He works like he was born to trail and is the real teacher in our partnership.
