Recco is presently training in wilderness trailing with handler Andrea Reller (mom). Recco works at Copper Mountain as an avalanche dog (in training), as well as at Chicago Ridge Snow Cat tours with John Reller (dad). She will hopefully test soon for her certification. She has shown great interest in water search training and does not shy away from HRD.

John and Andrea are not her only handlers. Recco also has a secondary handler at Copper. Her name is Whitney Baker. The handlers all work together and keep each other informed of Recco’s trainings. John and Andrea also cross train in the avalanche and wilderness search disciplines.

Recco has the intense desire to search/find and has plenty of energy to burn off. She learned the tricks of the trade from Tracker, the Reller’s previous search dog. Tracker passed in March ’10. Recco is quick to learn and seems to work out many situations all on her own.
