MAUI 2007-2022
SARDOC has lost longtime K9 Maui. Maui was certified in Wilderness Air Scent, HRD, and Water Search. She traveled to many places around Colorado and beyond to help search for the missing. Water search made her world go ’round. Several of her pups also successfully joined the search effort. She was the beloved partner of Marcia McMahon. They fielded with SARDOC and Park County Search and Rescue.
Maui always brought a little extra bit of fun to trainings and searches because she loved her work and SAR friends so much. Even at the age of 13, she pulled off two recertification tests. After every training and search, her job was never finished until she brought everyone safely back to their vehicles, pointing the way with her little frisbee.
